LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) -- Mark Stoops has Kentucky football fans screaming Yahtzee! once again, landing a couple of recruits out of Maryland Saturday afternoon.
Jabari Greenwood and Dee Fullwood have committed to Kentucky.
Fullwood is a defensive end and chose to be a Wildcat over a Hokie and Terrapin, turning down Virginia Tech and Maryland.
Fullwood becomes Uk’s first defensive line recruit for the class of 2015.
Greenwod, a 6’4” wide receiver out of Washington DC, chose Kentucky over Michigan State and Maryland.
This makes 12 recruits already committed in the 2015 class for Stoops.
Both weighed in on Twitter.
Jabari Greenwood tweeting, "Blessed to announce that I am fully committed to the University of Kentucky! #bbn #whynot"
Dee Fullwood tweeting, "I’m proud to announce that I will be committing to the University of Kentucky. #bbn #trulyblessed"
In an exclusive interview with WYMT, Greenwood told us he is pumped to be a Wildcat.
“Man, I am really excited,” Greenwood told WYMT on the phone. “This has been a journey. I love Lexington, Kentucky and, uh, I can't wait to get down there and show Big Blue Nation what I can do.
“It was a combination of pretty much everything -- the atmosphere down there, everybody loves Kentucky. Everybody thinks it's a basketball school, but really, football is a huge sport down there. Along with coach (Tommy) Mainord -- he's a great recruiter. He's my wide receivers coach. He played a huge role in why I chose Kentucky. And it also fits me as a football player as far as the offense. They run a spread offense, they pass a lot so I am looking forward to getting down there and playing early."
