Johnson Central coach previews Rowan County match-up

PAINTSVILLE, Ky (WYMT) - The Johnson Central Golden Eagles are blasting every opponent they face, so much so that in all 7 games there's been a running clock.

They are perfect 7-0 on the season, and the Golden Eagles are averaging 58-points per game, and Rowan County is next.

"Well this week we have a big district game, we're 2-0 coming into the district, I think Rowan is 2-1 coming into the district, so this could potentially set up the district championship game for us, the last couple years this has been the district semi-finals, so to speak. Rowan County always has a bunch of good athletes, and they always figure into the district championship, the district playoffs, we've been very fortunate against them the past few years, but we take it each game, one at a time, they're very talented, they're a very big football team, and we're not taking anything for granted at all," said Head Coach Jim Matney.
