BEREA, Ky. - The KIAC released the baseball all-conference team, player of the year, pitcher of the year and coach of the year Monday, April 29th.
Point Park University sophomore third baseman Jordan Crowell was named the KIAC player of the year. In 45 games this season, Crowell is batting .437 (59-for-135) with 37 runs batted in and 9 doubles. His .437 batting average ranks 2nd nationally in the NAIA.
Indiana University Southeast pitcher Elliott Fuller was named the KIAC pitcher of the year. Fuller pitched 60.2 innings over 10 games on the season and finished with a 0.89 earned run average. He had a 6-2 record and struck out 35 opposing batter on the season. The senior pitcher ranks 3rd in NAIA total earned runs allowed (6) and earned run average (0.89).
Point Park University head coach Loren Torres was named the KIAC coach of the year. Torres led the Pioneers to the regular season and conference tournament championships this season. Point Park is 38-13 on the season and will advance to the NAIA national tournament.
