WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women’s Bowling Program has had a fantastic first season and it’s because of their talented roster that they are in such a great standing in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) in 2nd place. With a 12-6 record, the Patriot ladies have brought their best game to each and every tournament. One Patriot lady has been extremely successful all season long and now has been recognized for all of her accomplishments.
Freshman Amanda Kelly (Georgetown, KY) has been named Mid-South Conference (MSC) Second-Team All-Conference. She has finished in the Top 25 numerous times including a few Top 10 finishes in several of the regular season tournaments this season. For her efforts, she has also been named the MSC Women’s Rookie of the Year. Kelly averaged 188.33 points in 15 games along with 2825 pins.
“I’m so proud of Amanda,” stated Head Coach Kevin Reigle. “She has had a great season and has been a great leader. We’re so excited to have an All-Conference player and a Rookie of the Year here at Cumberlands.”
Kelly and the rest of her team will compete at the MSC tournament in Louisville, KY beginning on February 21st.
