The Lady Railsplitters fell behind 2-0 early in the contest but cut into that deficit in the top half of the fourth inning with a run. However, the Lady Hurricanes answered with two more runs in the bottom half of the fourth and cut Lincoln Memorial's comeback attempt short in the seventh frame.

Freshman Samantha Smith was saddled with loss despite a strong outing, as she tallied six innings pitched and allowed only four earned runs on seven hits. She was bested by the two-headed attack in the circle for the Lady Hurricanes of Allison Pastor and Ashley Cavender. Pastor made the start and limited the Lady Railsplitters to two runs on five hits in six and a third innings pitched. Cavender closed the game out with an unblemished two-thirds innings pitched in the top of the seventh.

The Lady Hurricanes got the scoring started in the bottom half of the second inning with a two-run rally, sparked entirely on the bat of Kiley Doster, who popped a two-out, two-RBI double to put Georgia Southwestern on the board. Lincoln Memorial briefly cut into that deficit in the top of the fourth, as Jordyn Wilson drilled an RBI single to drive in Cierra Mudd who reached on a leadoff single.

That run was quickly erased by the Lady Hurricans, as they responded with another two-run outburst in the bottom half of the fourth inning. Georgia Southwestern earned a pair of RBI singles by Kiley Doster and Mason Moreland en route to moving into command of the board at 4-1.

The Lady Railsplitters went down in order in the fifth and sixth frame, but rallied in the top half of the seventh. Kirstin Toole opened that frame with a single and moved to second on Jordyn Wilson's ground out. Brianna Mulkey drove Toole home with a triple in the ensuing at-bat, however, the next two Lady Railsplitters went down in order to seal a 4-2 victory for the Lady Hurricanes.

Lincoln Memorial posted five hits in the contest, as Brianna Mulkey, Sarah Walz, Cierra Mudd, Kirstin Toole and Jordyn Wilson each recorded a one-hit outing.

The Lady Railsplitters faced an early 4-0 deficit, but responded with 10 runs over the final five innings with scores in each of those frames en route to a 10-6 victory over the Lady Hurricanes.

Samantha Smith made the start for the Lady Railsplitters but lasted only a third of an inning after allowing three hits and three runs in the top of the first. Kirstin Toole came on in relief to earn the win for Lincoln Memorial, moving to 1-2 on the season after tallying six and two-thirds innings pitched. Toole allowed seven hits, struck out four and only surrendered one earned run over that span.

The Lady Hurricanes opened the contest quickly with a three-run rally in the top of the first, paced entirely by the three-run blast off the bat of Ashley Clifton. Georgia Southwestern added another run in the top of the second with an RBI single by Jordan Miller.

The Lady Railsplitters quickly flipped the script by turning it on offensively, beginning with a two-run rally in the bottom of the second. Cierra Mudd kept the inning alive with a two-out single and Kirstin Toole capitalized in the next at-bat with a two-run blast to drive the game to 4-2 in favor of Georgia Southwestern. LMU kept the offense clicking in the bottom of the third with a three-run outburst on the wings of five hits in that frame. Sarah Walz got the scoring started with an RBI double, while Laura Taricano scored on an error and Cierra Mudd drove in another run with an RBI single later in the inning.

The Lady Railsplitters and Lady Hurricanes traded two-run frames in the bottom of the fourth and the top of the fifth before Mudd notched an RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth to add another run for the Lady Railsplitters.

Holding an 8-6 advantage, the Lady Railsplitters pounded out two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth. Brianna Mulkey led off with a single, stole second and advanced to third on Kelly Dreier's ground out. Amanda Snow would drive Mulkey home with a single while Laura Taricano once again scored later in the inning on a Lady Hurricane error.

The Lady Hurricanes posted two hits in the top of the seventh, however, they would be held scoreless in that frame as the Lady Railsplitters cruised to a 10-6 victory in the finale of the Bobcat Blast.

The Lady Railsplitters slammed 10 hits in the outing with eight of the nine batters in the lineup recording at least one hit. Brianna Mulkey went two-for-three with a pair of runs in the leadoff spot for LMU. Amanda Snow, Sarah Walz, Cierra Mudd and Kirstin Toole also posted two-hit performances for the Lady Railsplitters with Mudd and Toole chipping in with two RBIs apiece.

Lincoln Memorial is scheduled to play their home opener this week, as they are poised to host Milligan College on Tuesday, February 5th at Dorothy Neely Field. First pitch in the doubleheader is slated for 1 pm in Harrogate, Tennessee.
