ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Lincoln Memorial University center Lauren Cochran has been named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Cochran helped lead the Lady Railsplitters to an 80-52 win at King in LMU's only game last week. The win moved LMU to 5-4 on the season. In that game she scored 20 points, including going 10-of-11 from the field.
She is currently second on the team in scoring with an average of 15.6 points a game and leads the Lady Railsplitters with a shooting percentage of 64.2 percent.
The Lady Railsplitters are off this week for finals and will not play again until Dec. 31 when they travel to Converse College for a 3 p.m. tilt.
