HARROGATE, TN -- Lincoln Memorial University and Tex Turner Arena served as the host of Kay Yow Cancer Fund's "Play 4Kay" iniative last night, which works to raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
Along with the victories on the court as the Lady Railsplitters and Railsplitters provided two wins over Brevard College, the greatest victory came off the court as Lincoln Memorial University raised more than 2,300 dollars towards the fight against breast cancer.
The night was a rousing success and it was made possible by the contributions and hard work of many people who volunteered their time and energies. Special thanks should be delivered to the Baker Cancer Center of Tennova Health Care, Mars Properties, Middlesboro Mall, Delta Theta Sigma sorority, Student Government Association, the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, the Lincoln Memorial University athletic department, and the LMU Cheer and Dance teams for their efforts in the cause. Also, a big thanks is afforded to the LMU community. Without your support and charity, this victory would not be possible.
