Louisville women receiving support from men's team

NEW ORLEANS, La. (WYMT) - Sunday night down in New Orleans, the Louisville women will be tipping off in the Final Four for just the second time in school history.

Saturday night, the men's team won their Final Four game, advancing to Monday's national championship. At their Final Four news conference, women's head coach Jeff Walz talked about how supportive of his team Rick Pitino and his team have been.

"(Coach Pitino and I) are just going back and forth. I was wishing him luck, and he was wishing us luck, and just telling us to have fun and stay loose," says Walz, who is making his second appearance at the Final Four with the Cardinals. "Coach (Pitino) has been great. He's been great to me. Every since the first I arrived on campus, I went in and had the opportunity to meet him, and I sat down with him for 10-15 minutes. Since then, if I've got a basketball question, I can pick up the phone and call him. I can call him on his cell, text him, doesn't matter what time."
