MOREHEAD, KY. - Junior outfielder Nick Duff, senior pitcher Matt Duncan and senior outfielder Taylor Pickens have all been selected to the 2013 Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference baseball team. Morehead State’s three selections tied with Austin Peay for the most of any program in the conference.

“We are expecting big things from all three of these guys this year,” Head Coach Mike McGuire said. “It is great to have proven leaders like them, both on the field and in the locker room.”

Both Duff and Duncan were selected Second Team All-OVC following the 2012 season. Duff’s sophomore campaign saw him maintain a .315 batting average while driving in 34 runs and hitting six homeruns. Duncan was the Eagles’ shutdown closer, accumulating a school-record 13 saves with a 2.45 ERA and a 2-1 record.

Pickens also had a notable 2012, batting .330 with 10 doubles and 25 RBI on 68 hits.

The 2013 season gets underway Feb. 15, when the Eagles travel to Huntsville, Ala., for the Bulldog Classic.
