LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - A lot of pressure is already on Kentucky's incoming freshmen class, as many are saying this is the best recruiting class in the history of college basketball, with six of the eight signees ranked in the ESPN Top 100.
Former kentucky guard Julius Mays doesn't want to talk about expectations and add to the pressure of the incoming freshmen, but he does have a message for them.
"They're going to have enough (pressure) on them as they walk in the door, before they even walk in the door," says Mays. "They're already, I'm sure, projected number one and they haven't even stepped on campus yet. Like I said before, my advice to all of them is check your ego at the door. Once you come in here, it's not about your individual self no more. It's about coming together as a team, and I think if they can do that, they'll go a long ways."
