McCoy excited about helping Warriors develop

LICK CREEK, Ky. (WYMT) - While over in Pike County Wednesday, we were able to catch up with new East Ridge boys' basketball coach Randy McCoy.

McCoy spent five seasons at University Heights Academy, compiling a 91-54 record, and takes over an East Ridge program that is just one year removed from a 15th region finals appearance. He says he likes his new Warrior team, and is excited to help them develop.

"I think they're hungry. I think the experience they had with the success down the stretch gave them a taste of something that they'd like to go back and have a chance to do more of. I think we have some pretty good players. We have kids that I think can keep getting better. They got to get stronger, keep getting better at the game. We're excited about that chance, be a part of helping them develop," says McCoy.
