The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriot Archery squad is pleased to announce the signing of Nicole Nivison.
Nivison hails from Lawrenceburg, KY where she will graduate from Anderson County High School this spring.
Throughout her career, Nivison has placed highly in numerous tournaments around the state of Kentucky. She claimed the title at the 2009 NASP Regional tournament. She has also earned runner-up honors at the 2011 Woodford County Invitational, the 2011 Anderson County Spring Fling tournament, and the 2012 NASP State Tournament. In addition, Nicole has helped her high school win four straight NASP Regional tournaments from 2009 to 2012.
“I like how the Cumberlands is a small campus and school, which reminds me of my hometown. Being able to shoot archery at the Cumberlands will help me fulfill many of my dreams,” says Nivison about joining Cumberlands in the fall.
Head Coach Kris Strebeck comments, “Nicole is coming from a very successful archery program and has also shot outside of NASP, which will be a great asset to our team. We are excited that Nicole will be on our first archery team here.”
