No. 6 Johnson Central will host the Ashland Tomcats in the Appalachian Wireless Game of the Week on Friday night for the Class 4A District 8 title.

Golden Eagles head coach Jim Matney calls Ashland one of the more talented programs in the state, but says he and his team will be ready for the challenge come Friday.

"Well Ashland traditionally is one of the top football programs in the state of Kentucky," says Matney. "Several state championships. They have a lot of good athletes and they're very well coached. Each year the present an extreme challenge for us, figuring out how to match up. Ashland is just a good football program. It's an exciting time -- it'll be another packed house, probably standing room only. We're excited here."
