Let's take you back to 2011. During the second week of the regular season, the Harlan Green Dragons defeated the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets, 41-22. However, the Yellow Jackets returned the favor in the second round of the Class 1A playoffs when they beat the Green Dragons, 38-6.
After shutting out Harlan in Week Two of 2012, Jackets head coach Jerry Herron knows the Green Dragons will be looking for payback on Friday night as Harlan travels to Williamsburg.
"Oh, I think so. No doubt about it. I mean, you look at what happened last season with us. They handled us pretty solid up there in Harlan in the first, second game of the year and we spent all year getting fired up about it and getting ready to play," says Herron. "I've been telling the kids this week and the kids have been talking about it. We spent a whole year with fire under our belly ready for that game and I'm think the same is happening for them. We've heard rumors -- you know, Twitter, social media. Everybody hears everything that that's going on, so it's going to be a big game for them. They're going to be fired up and they're going to be all year long, you know, getting ready for this game and getting ready to come down here and play against us this week."
