HAZARD Ky. (WYMT) - We have an announcement to make as far as the WYMT Whayne Supply Mountain Classic is concerned.
The Sheldon Clark Cardinals have dropped out and the North Laurel Jaguars out of the 13th region is now in. The Jaguars finished the season with a 21-15 overall record and are the reigning 13th region champions.
So here is the updated classic field:
13th Region
Clay County Tigers
Harlan Co. Black Bears
North Laurel Jaguars
14th Region
Breathitt Co. Bobcats
Hazard Bulldogs
Knott Central Patriots (Defending Classic Champions)
Perry Central Commodores
15th Region
Betsy Layne Bobcats
Also included once again this year will be the girls' game between the Letcher Central Lady Cougars from the 14th region and the Shelby Valley Wildcats out of the 15th region.
The Mountain Classic will be played from Tuesday, January 8th to Saturday, January 12th
