Ohio native to bowl for UPIKE

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – A bowler from Trenton, Ohio, is the latest signee of the University of Pikeville.

Samantha Wilson of Edgewood High School – who played on the boys’ team at the school – will play for Coach Ron Damron’s NAIA national championship team.

Wilson has an average of 190 and has bowled a 290 game and a 699 series. She was named Second Team All-FAVC and was the sectional champion.

In addition to bowling, Wilson is a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society.

Wilson, who says her passion is working with special-needs children, intends to major in elementary education and pursue her Master’s Degree in special education.

Her goal is to be a professional bowler and to be a USBC-certified coach.
