When the #6 Somerset Briar Jumpers and #5 Hazard Bulldogs meet on the field Friday night, one winning streak will end.
Somerset has won 22-straight regular season games and Hazard has reeled off 11-straight.
Coach Robbie Lucas knows the Bulldogs have a lot of athletes and speed.
So he knows playing sound defense will keep his team's winning streak alive.
"I didn't get to see them last year,” Lucas says. “They're new to our schedule but loaded with athletes. From receivers to running backs to quarterbacks, even their big guys are athletic. They move very well. (They are) very well coached. Coach (Mark) Dixon has done an excellent job. I don't know many programs that rival the success they've had the last three or four years. They're a mountain tradition. Again, when you face a program like that with that many athletes it causes you a variety of problems."
