Osborne resigns as North Laurel softball coach

LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - One of the top high school programs in Kentucky will now be looking for a new head coach.

North Laurel softball coach Becky Osborne has resigned from the Lady Jaguar program. Osborne is a former player at North Laurel, winning a state championship as well as Kentucky Miss Softball. Osborne was 61-21 in two seasons as head coach of the Lady Jaguars.

"I hated to have to make that decision, but my husband's job may be moving in the near future; not a certain date, but I didn't want to have a commitment here that would prevent me from being able to move," explains Osborne. "The girls, I've learned a lot from them. They're just a good group of kids. It's a great program. I've had a lot of respect from everybody in this state as far as softball wise."
