PIKEVILLE, Ky. – One of the top pitchers in the 15th Region has signed to play at the University of Pikeville.

Zach Jackson, who stood out at Paintsville High School, has signed with Coach Robert Taylor’s program.

Jackson was 8-4 with a miniscule 1.58 ERA as a senior for the Tigers, who finished 15-14 and reached the 15th Region tournament this season. In 71 innings, he struck out 94 while walking only 24.

“Zach was one of the best left-handed pitchers in the region this year, and we’re thrilled to have him,” said Coach Taylor. “We’re building toward something special here at Pikeville and we’re pleased to have Zach as a member of our family here.”
