Paintsville's Chirico Thrilled

WYMT -- Four wins in two seasons is not a record to show off. But 2011 and 2012 are long gone and the Paintsville Tigers already have two wins in the bag this season.

Head coach Joe Chirico has his team rolling. The tigers defeated Pineville 55-32, came back and beat Morgan County 21-14, and now they have a date with Pikeville this Friday

Chirico is excited about his team success so far.

“We excepted the philosophy that it’s we, not me and we are going to do everything we can do better the team, not the individual honors and the kids are really buying into that,” the first-year head coach said in a phone interview.

“They understand that, ‘Hey, I may have to play guard, I may have to play linebacker, I may have to do anything to make the team better.’ and that is the one thing they have really taken and run with.”
