WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Softball program will be teaming up with South Laurel High School in London, Kentucky to host their softball camp on Monday September 1st. This camp will focus on improving specific aspects of the players’ development and is designed for athletes that have high school and collegiate aspirations.
The camp will be held for athletes in 4th grade through 12th grade. Camp activities will begin at 9 am and will run through 4 pm on that Monday. The cost is $50 with a UC t-shirt and lunch being provided to all campers. All campers are expected to bring their own equipment including glove, cleats, and proper workout attire including pants, tennis shoes, batting gloves, and catchers equipment (if applicable). This camp will be held at South Laurel High School’s softball field and facilities.
The campers will be working with the staff of the University of the Cumberlands including Head Coach Angie Dean and Assistant Coach Kenly Lambert. The staff of South Laurel will also be instructing including Head Coach James Burns and Assistant Coaches Kenneth Fisher and James Finley. Emily Gaines, the 2010 Gatorade High School Player of the Year and 2010 KY Miss Softball, will also be a guest instructor throughout the day.
