Patriots look to give back to local food pantry

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The University of the Cumberlands (UC) football program has one of its biggest games of the season this weekend against Mid-South Conference foe Georgetown College. With the #2 Patriots looking for its largest crowd of the season, UC also wants to look to help the community.

By bringing just two cans of food per person entering the game, the admission to Saturday’s game will be waived. Anyone not bringing two canned goods will be charged normal admission fees. All food donations will be given to the local food pantry at First Baptist Church in Williamsburg as they prepare for the upcoming holiday seasons.

Fans are encouraged to attend Saturday’s game to cheer on the Patriots to a victory as well as to help out their community in this time of need. Kickoff for this battle will be at 1:30 pm.
