Patriots Baseball Earn Conference Honors

On Wednesday, April 25th, the Mid-South Conference (MSC) held their annual baseball conference awards banquet to honor student athletes for their hard work on and off the field during the year.

The Patriots were represented this year as senior third baseman Evan Bennett (Winchester, KY) was named to the MSC First Team for his outstanding performance on the diamond. On the season he is hitting .378 with 59 hits (15 doubles, 1 triple, 2 homeruns), 36 runs scored, 28 RBIs, 24 walks, and 13 stolen bases. On the season he has a slugging percentage of .526 and an on base percentage of .453. He has only struck out 4 times in 188 plate appearances.

The Patriots were also honored for their work in the classroom as 9 student-athletes were named to the All MSC Academic Team. Those receiving this honor were Evan Bennett, Donovan Feenstra (Calgary, Canada), Quinton Warriner (Russell Springs, KY), John Doolittle (Sharpsburg, GA), Billy Grant (Lebanon, KY), Ethan Parsons (Louisa, KY), Ben Meadows (Carrolton, KY), Blake Castator (Hamilton, OH), and Charles Hyde (Fort Mitchell, KY).

The Patriots are back in action on Thursday, April 26th, for the start of the MSC Tournament when they take on Georgetown College at 11:00 am.
