Patterson impressed with young Wildcats

LEXINGTON, Ky. One player who knows all about Kentucky and the high expectations that come with it is Patrick Patterson. Patterson just completed his third season in the NBA and recently spent some time in Lexington. While in town he caught a glimpse of next year's Wildcats and was pretty impressed with what he saw.

"I'm definitely happy that Willie (Cauley-Stein) and Alex (Poythress) came back. Alex was one of my favorites from last year's team," says Patterson. "Just seeing the Harrison twins, how tall they are, actually. 6'4"-6'5" doesn't do them justice. I've also seen Julius Randle. I saw a bunch of his highlights, especially against Andrew Wiggins, their whole mixtapes and everything, but when you finally see him in person, it's just crazy. These guys are in high school? Julius literally has a NBA body already and just all those guys across the board are looking amazing. Jon Hood. Jon Hood is looking good; his legs are looking strong. He's moving exceptionally now. I'm excited for what's about to happen."
