PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Wednesday afternoon, a news conference was held for the 28th annual Community Trust Bank WYMT Pike County Bowl.
During the event's 28 years, more than $600,000 have been raised and donated to the participating schools, and it's a cause that everyone involved is more than happy to be a part of.
"It's definitely a good experience for the kids," says Brett Keene, Marketing President for Community Trust Bank's Pikeville region. "It's money well spent in our opinion. Like you said, we're well over $600,000, and it probably costs at least that much to put it on, which is something that we're happy, along with our corporate partner WYMT are able to absorb and give back to the schools and kids. It's just a great, great event."
