The 27th Annual Community Trust Bank Pike County Bowl is set to kick off next Friday.

A news conference was held in Pikeville Tuesday afternoon as each coach gave their thoughts about playing in the Bowl.

All six pike county teams, Harrison County from Central Kentucky and Tellico Plains, Tennessee will participate in this year's bowl.

Carl Tritschler with Community Trust Bank says it's another way to showcase the talent in Pike County...

“It's for the kids,” Tritschler says. “Over time, $623,000 has been donated to local schools. We're just happy pleased, excited to be a part of this year's bowl."

“It's been good for our program,” Belfry Football Coach, Philip Haywood says. “It's been good Pike County and we've brought in some good teams over the years and I think it's spread the Belfry program and other programs in Pike County all over the state."
