The Pikeville Panthers had a successful 2011 campaign, finishing the year 11-3 and losing to Hazard in the Class 1A semifinals.

One of their key players from last season, quarterback Randy Maynard is now a freshman over at the University of the Cumberlands. Maynard tells us some of the differences between the high school game and the college game.

"Its a huge difference, going from having 30 people max to over 100. It is ridiculous," Maynard says. "Especially not going both ways, going through practice, just doing offense. Just doing quarterback stuff, it's a big change. Just being the low man on the totem pole, that is a big change for me too. I am not used to that yet. It is a lot of pressure. I have to learn a whole new system. I have to learn a bunch of people's names, different positions. I don't know, its just a completely different world here."
