PIKEVILLE, Ky. – A member of the last two regional champion golf teams will advance his career at the University of Pikeville.
Will Boyd helped Pikeville High School to the regional championship each of the last two seasons and has now signed a scholarship agreement to play golf and continue his education at UPIKE.
Boyd was the individual runner-up in the 2011 All “A” Classic tournament and the Region 11 championship.
He played in the 2011 Kentucky Coaches Association All-Star Tournament and had several Top Three finishes on the Pepsi Junior Golf Tour and the East Kentucky Junior Golf Tour. In addition, Boyd has played in the American Junior Golf Association and the International Junior Golf Association.
At Pikeville High School, Boyd is a member of the National Honor Society.
