UK sophomore guard Stacey Poole, Jr., will meet with his father this weekend to discuss whether to stay at Kentucky or transfer to another school.
Stacey Poole, Sr. told Kentucky.com that his son is not happy with his playing time at UK.
"At the end of the day, no decision has been made," the elder Poole said. "... This could be temporary. This could be legit."
In September, during an interview with WKYT’s Rob Bromley, the player admitted he had thought about leaving after the 2010-11 season.
“I’m not going to sit here and tell you I didn’t think about it,” Poole said during the interview. “But I’m going to stay here and make it the best. Stay here and work hard, because this is the best of the best. It can’t get any better than this.”
Poole was rated the 33rd best player coming out of high school by Rivals.com, after averaging 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists for Providence High in Jacksonville, Fla.
Last season, Poole averaged 2.8 minutes in 16 games for the Wildcats.
