MELBOURNE, FL -- The Railsplitters were stifled offensively and handed a pair of losses by the Florida Tech Panthers, who capped the weekend sweep with a 5-3 and 5-1 victory in nonconference baseball action on Saturday afternoon in Melbourne, Florida. With the two losses, Lincoln Memorial University (1-6) falls victim to a weekend sweep for the second-consecutive week to open the 2013 campaign, while Florida Tech (6-0) remained perfect on the year.

Lincoln Memorial will look to get back on track with four games on tap for the upcoming week. The Railsplitters are set to welcome University of Virginia-Wise to Lamar Hennon Field for a one-game set to open the home schedule on February 12th at 2 pm. Over the weekend, the Railsplitters are slated to kickoff South Atlantic Conference play with a trip to Anderson University to battle the Trojans in a three-game set.
