Wise, Va. - The UVa-Wise women’s basketball team completed its third consecutive win of more than 20 points with a 72-50 victory over Milligan College on Tuesday. Chelsea Cluesman (28 points) and Charlotte Reasor (20 points) paced the Cavaliers who completed a season sweep over the Buffaloes with the victory.
The Cavaliers (5-7) won their fourth straight game relying on a strong shooting performance as the team shot 54.4 percent from the field. Reasor finished the game 9-15 from the field to finish with a career-high 20 points. Inside Cluesman grabbed 13 rebounds in addition to her game-high 28 points.
Milligan (7-3) was limited to 32.3 percent shooting for the game; the Buffaloes also lost the rebounding battle, 44-31. Jaimee Hill led the visitors with 16 points on 6-12 shooting, Allsion Jones chipped in 12 points off the bench in the loss.
UVa-Wise will return to action on Saturday when the team visits Fairmont State for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
