WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - After ending their 2013-14 season with an overall record of 17-12, the University of the Cumberlands (UC) Volleyball staff has been working hard on the recruiting trail to bring new talent in for the upcoming 2014-15 season. Replacing the experience of seniors is always difficult, but Head Coach Kathryn Hart and her staff have worked hard and are pleased to welcome middle blocker Baleigh Reynolds to the Patriot squad this year.
Baleigh is the daughter of Mike and Shanna Reynolds and hails from Pottsboro, Texas. She comes to UC as a transfer from Seminole State College of Oklahoma. Playing in 36 matches last season, the 6'1" middle hitter accumulated 127 solo blocks, which ranked her 3rd overall in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). She added 23 assisted blocks for a total of 150 on the season, making her 15th overall in the NJCAA for total blocks. Baleigh also ranked 20th in the NJCAA in Blocks per set with 1.22.
Baleigh commented on her transfer, saying, "I am super excited to become a Patriot!"
Coach Hart added, "We are so excited to have Baleigh join our program. With still a very young roster, Baleigh will bring a lot of experience and give us some great depth."
