LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) – Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino has followed through with his promise to get a tattoo if his Cardinals won the national championship.
Louisville spokesperson Kenny Klein released pictures of Pitino and his new ink Friday, via Twitter.
The tattoo appears on Pitino’s left shoulder, featuring the Louisville “L” and the words “NCAA Champions.”
Following a five-overtime loss at Notre Dame in February, Pitino asked his team to win the last seven games of the season, then the Big East tournament title, then the national championship. He promised his players he’d get a tattoo to celebrate the accomplishment.
