LICK CREEK, Ky. (WYMT) - We look now at the East Ridge Lady Warriors in our next Roundball Preview.
The Lady Warriors finished the regular season winning eight of their final four games and are hoping to finish strong again, but they also want to start the season strong as well.
"I think we'll start out strong but I don't want us to fade, peak too soon," explains head coach Denise Campbell. "We're wanting to start out strong and finish strong, and we hope to do that with injuries. We hope to do that with cutting down on that and just all the way through and making it an overall good year and season. To see that total package that we have this year, I'm excited about."
"We have bigger hearts than anybody I think," adds senior Christian Yates. "Our team, we're just I don't know, we're motivated."
"We started off (last season) to a bumpy start with all the chaos we had and picked it up at the end of the year and did what he had to do," says Heaven Gannon, a senior forward. "We just kept our minds in the game and didn't worry about nobody else but our team."
"I think we're going to make an appearance that nobody expects because we've always been the underdog, and I think that by the end of the season I really hope we can come together and win district and hopefully region," says senior guard/forward Kelsie Fuller.
