SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) -- Several Somerset Briar Jumpers have signed to play at the next level, including wide receiver Cam Cheuvront and utility player Will Lange.
Cheuvront and Lange are headed to Davidson.
"My final two schools were between Murray State and Davidson, and I just felt like Davidson was going to give me the best after football experience,” Cheuvront said. “Going to Davidson isn't a four year decision, it's a 40 year decision. And Davidson is an awesome school and there are awesome people there."
The Wildcats did win a game last season, but Lange is motivated to get started and flip that record around his freshman season.
"Davidson got a new coaching staff last year and they had none of their recruits coming in and they knew they were coming into a broken program,” Lange said. “The coaching staff is really young and they are here to turn it around. All of the recruits understand that they were really bad last year. But we have all-staters from Florida, from Texas, Georgia, everybody is coming in. We are going to turn it around and make it a good program."
