Southwestern impressed with Somerset defense

SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - Staying in somerset, the Jumpers' opponent this Friday, the Southwestern Warriors are coming off of a win over Letcher Central in the Roy Kidd Bowl last weekend, and have now turned their focus to Somerset. Head coach Anthony Stephens says while watching film on the Briar Jumpers, the first thing he noticed was their defense, especially the front three.

"The biggest thing I see is, when I watch their defense, they're really good on defense," says Stephens. "They're able to just leave their front three down there and control the entire line of scrimmage with their front three. They're playing that 3-4, and they're going to be able to walk guys up in the box. It's almost a nightmare preparing for what to do against that defense. Offensively, they're kind of working out their kinks and deciding what they want to do too. They've got plenty of athletes and plenty of talent on offense, so when they put both together they're going to be a really nice opponent."
