University of Kentucky senior and National Champion Eloy Vargas will conduct five area youth basketball camps during the month of May.

Vargas, who helped the University of Kentucky men's basketball program capture its eighth national championship earlier in the month, will hold five camps in as many days May 14-18. The Nation of Blue Championship Camp featuring Eloy Vargas will tip off on Monday, May 14 at Belfry High School. Each camp will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Wildcat-led fundamental basketball camp is for boys and girls ages 5-15. Cost of each camp is $70 per participant.

Additional camps are also set to be held in Floyd, Johnson and Pike counties. A remaining date for one of the five camps will be finalized and announced later in the week.

Camp participants will have an opportunity to interact with a member of the 2012 NCAA championship team throughout the camp.

Fundamentals will be covered extensively. Competitions will include Free Throw, Three-Point, 5-on-5 and 1-on-1 vs. Eloy Vargas.
Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt.

Pre-registration is encouraged. The first 100 to pre-register for each camp will receive a t-shirt.
