Wise, Virginia - Beyond Sports Network has announced that UVa-Wise kick returner Marcus Bratton has been named as a Second Team All-American selection. The 6’0 junior from Roanoke, Virginia led the Mid-South Conference with three return touchdowns and 627 return yards.

In addition, Bratton played a crucial role in the Cavaliers 33-30 victory over Emory and Henry College when he pitched a punt return to teammate Josh Wright moments before falling to the turf; Wright received the ball and raced to the end zone on the game’s final play to complete the miracle victory.

Overall, Bratton finished second in the nation in return touchdowns while ranking ninth in return yards. Thus far, the return specialist has been named First Team All-Mid-South as a defensive back and kick returner and second team VASID as a kick returner to go along with the All-American honor.
