ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference released the bracket for the 2013 AAC Baseball Tournament on Sunday, and Union is the No. 2 seed.
The Bulldogs (29-21 overall) finished the regular-season with a 14-10 conference mark to land the second seed. Tennessee Wesleyan (39-15 overall, 20-3 AAC) is the regular-season champion and the No. 1 seed.
The tournament begins Monday and is being held at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn., marking the seventh year in a row it has been held there.
The tournament format consists of eight teams in two pools of four. There is one play-in game to detemine the final team in the eight-team field. Once narrowed down to eight, tt is double-elimination within pool play. The two pool winners will then meet in a winner-take-all championship game to determine the 2013 Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament champion.
Seeds No. 1, 4, 5 and 8/9 winner will be in Pool A, while Seeds No. 2, 3, 6 and 7 will be in Pool B.
Tennessee Wesleyan is the regular-season champion and the No. 1 seed. Here are the complete seedings for the tournament:

*-The final game of the regular-season series between Tennessee Wesleyan and Virginia Intermont was canceled due to inclement weather. Per AAC Sports Policies, both teams are assessed a loss for seeding purposes. With this additional loss, Virgina Intermont was placed in a three-way tie with Milligan and Reinhardt for the No. 4 seed. Since Milligan won the series against both Reinhardt and Virginia Intermont, it is the No. 4 seed. Reinhardt took two of three games from Virginia Intermont to make it the No. 5 seed.
Montreat is the No. 8 seed since it took won the regular-season series versus Point.
The tournament will kick off on Monday with No. 8 Montreat taking on No. 9 Point at 5 p.m. On Tuesday, play begins with No. 4 Milligan facing No. 5 Reinhardt at 11 a.m. with No. 3 St. Andrews battling No. 6 Virginia Intermont at 1:30 p.m. No. 2 Union will take on No. 7 Bryan at 5 p.m., and No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan will play the Montreat/Point winner at 7:30 p.m.
