BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union Interim Director of Athletics Tim Curry announced Thursday the AD Honor Roll for the fall of 2011 with nearly 170 student-athletes being honored.
A total of 20 student-athletes recorded a G.P.A. of 4.0, while 146 registered a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better during the fall semester.
"We are very proud of the success our student-athletes produce on the field of play, but we take special pride in how they excel in the classroom," said Curry. "Academics is a priority at Union. We are committed to creating a well-rounded person to better prepare them for life after college."
There were four programs with 17 or more student-athletes to make the list. Football had 22, while softball had 21 from softball. Baseball and volleyball rounded out the top four with each being represented by 17.
