Union Collects Key 3-1 AAC Victory

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - Union picked the perfect time to collect its first road win of the year as the Lady Bulldogs defeated host Milligan (Tenn.) 3-1 in Appalachian Athletic Conference action on Tuesday.

Union had been winless in its previous nine matches away from Robsion Arena. With the 28-26, 18-25, 25-15, 25-19 victory, the Lady Bulldogs are 3-9 overall and a perfect 2-0 in conference play.

Milligan falls to 2-9 overall and 1-1 in the AAC following the defeat.

Senior Lauren McMillan (Corbin, Ky.) came up big for the Lady Bulldogs, registering a match-high 16 kills and five solo blocks. Cat Neumann (Louisville, Ky.) helped out with 14 kills and 12 digs, while Karina Ramos (Presidente Prudente, Brazil) notched 12 kills, 11 digs and four service aces.

Kalia Yasak (Kula, Hawaii) posted 42 assists and seven digs, and Brooke Porter (Louisville, Ky.) had 17 digs.

Union continues to hit the road for its next two matches as it will visit AAC newcomer Columbia (S.C.) on Friday at 6:30 p.m. before facing conference rival Montreat (N.C.) at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
