Union's Moses Nabs MSC Offensive Player of Week Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Sophomore quarterback Ryan Moses earned the Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week award after helping Union to a 24-19 victory over visiting Cumberlands (Ky.), the league announced Monday.

Moses threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns to earn the honor. The Williamsburg, Ky., native completed 18 of his 24 passes for his first career 300-yard passing day in the Bulldogs' 24-19 win on Saturday.

Moses connected on touchdown passes of 5, 6 and 60 yards to help Union beat Cumberlands in the Battle of the Brass Lantern.

Through five games this season, Moses is seventh in the MSC averaging 149.2 passing yards per game. He has five touchdown tosses compared to just three interceptions this season.

Union improves to 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the MSC West Division.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday when they pay Bethel (Tenn.) a visit in another MSC West showdown. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
