HARROGATE, TN - Spots are still available for the Unsigned Prospect Showcase, which is set for Tuesday, June 4th at Lincoln Memorial University's Lamar Hennon Field, Railsplitter head baseball coach Jeff Sziksai announced early Monday morning.
The Unsigned Prospect Showcase provides exposure to college scouts from institutions throughout the region, and the event is open to any high school senior that has not signed or any junior college player that is eligible to transfer to a four-year institution. More than 125 college programs have been invited to attend this particular showcase.
The event is set for Tuesday, June 4th on the grounds of Lincoln Memorial University's Lamar Hennon Field. Registration begins at 10 am with the showcase kicking off at 11 am. The cost is $65 if paid in advance or $85 if paid the day of the event.
Each prospect in attendance will take part in a pro-style workout for the college coaches in attendance. Position players will go through a series of workouts that includes the 60-yard dash, defensive evaluations and batting practice on the field, while pitchers will throw live (game situation) to hitters.
