The No. 6 Williamsburg Yellow Jackets impressed last week in their season opener as they defeated Jellico, TN. rather easily, 68-8.
Head coach Jerry Herron says the offensive line was huge part of the offensive explosion, and he says he knows his team will rely upon them again if they are to continue their air raid against a strong Harlan Green Dragons defense on Friday night.
"Well, you know, when you're coaching this offense, everyone gets mad when you don't score every play so that's kind of the way we look at it, but the offensive line did a great job and once again, the skill positions played really well," says Herron. "I think Dalton had six touchdown passes and we threw seven in the game, so we're very pleased with our receivers. We did have five guys run routes against four guys so it's pretty much pitch and catch, but this week I look for Harlan to do a little bit different thing. They won't bring all of the rush. They'll drop back in the zone and blitz in the right spots. Coach Donahue has always done a good job of trying to find our weakness in the blitz and trying to send someone to that area. We know our offensive line is going to have to carry us again and hopefully our skill positions can make some catches and get open and do some things for us offensively."
