Defeating Missouri Baptist College 76-67 on Friday and Holy Cross College 72-59 on Saturday afternoon, the Patriots extended their winning streak to 5 as well as their overall record to 5-2.

Updated: 11/16/2013 - The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women’s basketball team made fans proud on Saturday afternoon as they crushed the Fighting Saints of St. Francis in their home opener 78-47. After starting the season off with a 2-game losing streak at the Bethel Rotary Classic in early November, the Patriot ladies regrouped the past two weeks, refining their game on the court and off resulting in their first win of the season. With the win, the Patriots now move to 1-2 on the season.

Posted: 11/16/2013 - Fairmont State University ended a five-game losing streak with a 47-44 come from behind victory over UVa-Wise at Duvall-Rosier Field in the season finale for both schools on Saturday. Trailing 44-40 with less than a minute to play, the Falcons’ Tyler Pate came off the bench to replace an injured Cooper Hibbs on a fourth and goal play from the three yard line. Pate would complete his only pass attempt of the game, a touchdown pass to Nick Alvaro to complete the comeback.
