BARBURVILLE Ky. (WYMT) - The Barbourville Lady Tigers are off to their best start in program history this year.
After beginning the year a program best 5-0, they are currently 9-1, and 3-0 in the 51st district. With three players currently averaging double figures, Kara Erslan's 18.3 points, Kelsey Erslan's 14.2 points, and Amber Mills' 10.8 points per game, head coach Andrea Hillard says the sky is the limit.
"I don't feel like we are peeking. I feel like there are lots of things that we can work on, and need to work on and will work on", said Hillard. "And the girls understand that. They have taken the beatings. So I am hoping that mentality of winning doesn't get to large. You know, and that they stay grounded. We'll just have to offensively, keep gaining offensively, and keep playing the defense for us to stay on track."
