WISE, Va. - Any hope University of the Cumberlands had at remaining in the NAIA top five came to an abrupt end on Saturday as UVa-Wise dominated every phase of the game en route to a 69-54 win over the #1 Patriots at the Prior Center.

The Cavs also enjoyed one of their stronger shooting days from the charity stripe on the season by shooting 78.6 percent for the game.
James Archie was the only Cumberlands starter to crack double-figure scoring, 12 points, as the interior defense of UVa-Wise limited the #1 Patriots to just six points out of its starting front court.
