Commodores looking to improve for post-season

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Our Appalachian Wireless Game of the Week Friday night takes us to Harlan County for a top ten matchup between No. 2 Perry Central and the No. 9 Black Bears.

The Commodores are coming off a 62-49 win over Wolfe County on Tuesday, but are only 3-3 in their last six. Head coach Kevin Spurlock says at this point in the season, his team is focused on the little things, and working to get better for the post season.

"I think right now we've kind of hit a little lull with our season. You know, once you go up to the Republic Bank Classic, and you play the Mountain Classic, and you play the Toyota Classic, it's hard to stay up that high as you work through those tournaments. Right now, we're just trying to focus on the little things, and trying to get better game by game, and trying not to peak too early."
