MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Ohio Valley Conference season begins for the Morehead State women's hoops squad Saturday as it takes on Eastern Illinois at 5:15 p.m. ET at Johnson Arena.

MSU finished 4-10 in non-conference games and heads into league action with wins in three of its last four games. The Panthers are 7-6 overall and 1-0 in the OVC following a road win over Tennessee State last week. The series between the teams is extremely tight with EIU holding just a 16-15 edge. The Eagles defeated the Panthers 59-57 in the last meeting played in Morehead.

After Saturday's contest, MSU remains at home to entertain SIU Edwardsville on Monday at 6 p.m.
