RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University senior Mike DiNunno was recently named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week by CollegeSportsMadness.com.

DiNunno helped lead the Colonels to victories in their first two road games of the season.

Against North Carolina Central, the Chicago native had a game-best 21 points. He made 7-of-12 attempts from the field, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc. In a win at Chattanooga, he finished with 12 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals.

In the two games, DiNunno averaged 16.5 points, 3.5 assists, two steals and 1.5 rebounds. He shot 52 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range.

After a week off from game action during finals exams, the Colonels will put their unbeaten record on the line at No. 10 Illinois on Sunday. Tip-off on ESPNU is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. ET.
